My Darling Daughter

I was just given news yesterday that my daughter, Sarah, has been told she has Ovarian Cancer. The found cancer cells in her pap smear. They will be doing a biopsy within the next few weeks. I'm praying that if it is cancer that it is totally removed. She also told me they found a lump on her breast. They will be doing a mammogram to check that out. She is scared, as one might suspect. Despite the fear of losing her life, she is strong. She has a good friend that is living with us now and she is a great comfort to Sarah. I would ask that you keep her in your prayers.

Scheduled for October - Birthday Getaway!

I am excited about the ability to take vacations. I have joined Trendwest last year. It is a timeshare. I planned to go to Depoe Bay, Oregon last year, but was unable to because I didn't have the money. My car will be paid off in May or June. I will not be buying another car and use the $400 a month to save for vacations and other recreational activites. I will be going to the Oregon Coast for a week, the week of my birthday. I hope to do something in July or August, but I haven't decided.

Life is grand!

I have recently made a decision to further my career in the computer field. I have wavered the last couple of years at wanting to get into Website Design and Graphics. I have come to realize, and God has opened my eyes, that I have very marketable skills that can provide me with a comfortable income. My goal is to get my MSCE in the next year. I also have a wonderful opportunity to do some Linux/Unix administration, which will help my marketability.
